The Foreword Poets present their second anthology "In the Company of Others"

The eleven members of the long-standing poetry group "Foreword", all graduates of a two-year poetry crafting program of the Loft Literary Center, will be reading from their second anthology In the Company of Others at Common Good Books on Sunday, December 3 at 2:00 PM.  All are welcome.  Refreshments will be served.

Ardie Bucholtz Medina, Anishinaabe poet and playwright from Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin, has poems published in various anthologies, such as Loonfeather Press and Yellow Medicine Review.  She co-facilitates the Birchbark Reading Series with Michael Kiesow Moore. 

After a career in banking Barbara Draper tripped over poetry and thought, I love this!  Her poems have been published in Poetry East, Sow’s Ear Poetry Review, Potomac Review, Paper Nautilus, and others.

William (Bill) Upjohn poems have appeared in Winning Writers’ 2013 Wergle Flomp Humor Poetry Contest, SLAB, No, Achilles: War Poetry anthology by Waterwood Press, and various regional journals. 

James Bettendorf is widely published.  swimming in the earth, his poems, with art by his daughter Suzanne Bettendorf, was published in 2014.

Kristin Laurel’s Giving Them All Away, was published by Evening Street Press.  Recent work can be seen in Gravel, Red Savina Review, Glassworks, and NPR’s Shots.  

Main Street Rag published LeRoy Sorenson’s debut poetry collection, Forty Miles North of Nowhere. His work has appeared in Nimrod, Pirene’s Fountain, Naugatuck River Review and other journals. 

Leslie Matton-Flynn began writing poetry and short fiction in earnest in 2001.  She also works as an editor and book designer with her company Cup and Spiral Books.  

Miriam Weinstein’s chapbook Twenty Ways of Looking was published by Finishing Line Press.

Writing for over 30 years, Sandra Sidman Larson has four chapbooks to her credit and a newly published book by Main Street Rag, This Distance in My Hands.

Stephanie Brown has been published in Evening Street Press, Grey Sparrow Press, The Talking Stick among other journals.  Her first chapbook Footnotes of Mercy will be published by Finishing Line Press this coming March.

Sue Reed Crouse has work in numerous journals.  Her manuscript One Black Shoe was a finalist for the Backwaters Poetry Prize in 2015.
