Fredrick Soukup is a St. Paul-based literary fiction writer and author of BLISS (Regal House Publishing), BLOOD UP NORTH (Vine Leaves Press), and ASHES, ASHES (Vine Leaves Press). He has published works in Fluent Magazine and Sou’wester. Soukup was a semifinalist for the 2017 American Short Fiction Prize, shortlisted by C&R Press for its 2019 Book Award, named a 2020 IPPY Bronze Medalist, and a 2021 Minnesota Book Award Finalist. His novel BLOOD UP NORTH won the 2022 NYC Big Book Award for Literary Fiction.
